Using technology under license to Tickle, a fully interactive 3D model of Manchester's Oxford Road has been developed. As phase one of the project, the model includes a photographically textured portion of the road (approximately 1/3 of a mile) including landmark buildings such as the Palace Theatre and the Cornerhouse Gallery and Cinema.

Future phases of the project include extending the modeled area to include the entire Oxford Road corridor and the interior of the Cornerhouse Gallery.

The system currently includes full, realistic physics including gravity and collision detection. Other features include the ability to walk around the model from a first person perspective or fly through the model from an aerial perspective.
