The Tickle Group has been commissioned to create the first fully interactive 3D map in Scotland. 'Another Orkney Production' a company dedicated to promoting the Orkney Islands approached The Tickle Group after seeing the work they created for the New Perth Theatre.
The brief was to enable users to identify key placement of World War Two installations in and around Scapa Flow, this would be achieved by constructing at 3D model of the Islands, mapping satellite image onto the model, and re-building the installations from archive photos.
Visitor to the website will be able to see the actual view that gunners and men on watch had, they can also 'fly' from location to location. |
