Partnering with Turntool to deliver 'Real time' 3D visualisation over the Web
The Tickle Group are the first in the UK to deliver 'real time' 3D interaction over the Web and have entered into modelling partnership with the software company TurnTool Aps based in Denmark.

TurnTool APS have developed an advanced and very user-friendly real time 3D technology, creating great possibilities to use interactive 3D solutions on that can be viewed over the Internet. This makes TurnTool an excellent tool for product visualisation (e-commerce, e-learning and product manuals) as well as architectural visualisation. Based on 3D rendering engines (as used in video games like Lara Croft), The Tickle Group brings this technology to UK SMEs for the first time.

One of the first projects produced was a full interactive model of the new development at Widnes Waterfront. This enabled our client to view the development from any angle, travel down boulevards and look at any individual building.

The Widnes Waterfront file size is only 153k and takes less than 20 seconds to download on a 56k Modem, this is 0.7% of the original mpeg2 of 22 megabytes, which would take up to 1.5 Hours to download.

What makes this technology unique is the ability to manipulate, zoom and turn the object to examine the wanted detail using the mouse. In architectural scenes, there is the added freedom of moving around, and looking in any direction also using the mouse in addition to the arrow keys.

The possibilities are that any 3D model can be displayed, from engineering parts to vehicles, hospitals to housing estates, all in real time and at a fraction of the file size normally associated with 3D Models.
